About this piece: The Stand (also known as The Stands) is about or "of" a midwestern American high school football stand, or stands. Chain-link fences are socially sculptural. They're mostly installed to keep people off that particular intersection, that particular edge. They say, "Here is a demarkation you won't freely go back and forth across." Sometimes it says this to dogs, but mostly to people.
